CNBM Leaders Attends Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs

On July 18, the 4th Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs was held in Beijing. Ma Jianguo, vice president of China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM), attended the conference. Four editions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation have been held since its founding in 2000. The forum has become an important mechanism of collective dialogues between China and African countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
Wen Jiabao, premier of the State Council, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, president of Equatorial Guinea, Mahamadou Issoufou, president of Niger, Jose Maria Neves, prime minister of Cape Verde, Raila Odinga, prime minister of Kenya and nearly 1,000 Chinese and African entrepreneurs were present to discuss how to promote China-Africa economic cooperation. In 2011, the total trade volume between China and Africa stood at 166.3 billion U.S. dollars, with an FDI stock of 15.3 billion U.S. dollars. So far, over 2,000 Chinese enterprises have invested in Africa.
During the conference, Ma met with Zuhair, head of East Asia, General ity for Investment and Free Zones (Egypt). The two sides exchanged ideas on the progress of the construction of the fiberglass plant of Jushi Group in Egypt. Zuhair spoke highly of Jushi's investment, hoping the project will progress smoothly in the future with the concerted efforts of the two sides.
