Zhou Yuxian Leads Delegation Abroad to Advance International Exchange and Cooperation
From September 23 to October 5, at the invitation of Saudi Aramco, Holcim Group, Dangote Group, and GPC Group, Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), visited Saudi Arabia, Germany, France, and Nigeria. During the visit, he attended the Group’s promotional conference in Saudi Arabia, witnessed the signing of strategic cooperation agreements with Saudi Aramco, GPC Group, and Dangote Group, as well as the signing ceremony for the China-Africa Joint Laboratory of Green Building Materials. Zhou also held meetings with relevant government agencies and renowned enterprise groups in the four countries and conducted field research at local enterprises.
On September 25, Zhou Yuxian met with Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia. The two parties had in-depth discussions on technological and capital cooperation in areas such as low-carbon building materials, new materials, and new energy materials. From September 27 to 29, Zhou Yuxian visited Dresden, Leipzig, Munich, and Dusseldorf in Germany. During the trip, he conducted on-site research at companies under Triumph Science & Technology, including CTF Solar, Avancis, and Singulus; Hazemag under SINOMA International; and the German subsidiary of CNBM Investment. He received detailed reports from all five enterprises and engaged in discussions to provide guidance on topics such as R&D, business development, operational synergy, and team integration.
On September 30, Zhou Yuxian visited the Holcim Innovation Hub at the company's headquarters in Lyon, France, and held discussions with Holcim Group CEO Miljan Gutovic. The two leaders exchanged insights on industry development trends, the application of technological innovation, and the green, low-carbon transformation of the building materials sector. Both parties agreed on the complementary strengths of their organizations in areas such as carbon reduction technologies, renewable material applications, and resource recycling. They expressed a shared commitment to deepening strategic alignment and enhancing cooperation in green building materials and carbon reduction technology research, aiming to jointly drive the global building materials industry toward green and low-carbon growth.
On October 3, Zhou Yuxian met with Joseph Tegbe, Director-General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership and Global Liaison, in Abuja. The two sides discussed strengthening collaboration in areas such as upgrading basic building materials services, investing in new materials and renewable energy, and developing technical standards. They expressed a shared commitment to contributing to Nigeria's economic development. During his visit to Nigeria, Zhou conducted field research at SINOMA International's Nigeria (Ogun) manufacturing base, China Glass Nigeria, as well as local companies specializing in stone-coated metal roofing tiles and calcium silicate boards. He received reports from these enterprises on their operations. Zhou also met with Li Hui, President of the Nigerian China Mining Federation, and Chen Hailin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He gained a detailed understanding of Nigeria's mineral resources, including their types and distribution, as well as the country's needs in areas such as testing and inspection, geological surveys, and resource development.
