CNBM Hosts Launch Ceremony for Low-Carbon Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials Modern Industrial Chain Collaboration Action and Green Low-Carbon Building Materials Innovation Consortium in Beijing
On November 28, CNBM hosted the Low-Carbon Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials Modern Industrial Chain Collaboration Action and Green Low-Carbon Building Materials Innovation Consortium Launch Ceremony in Beijing, organized by Tianshan Materials Co., Ltd. The conference, themed “Green and Low-Carbon, Collaborative Innovation, Win-Win Chain Collaboration”, brought together insights from government, associations, industry, and academia. It provided an efficient platform for exchange to foster the integrated development of the low-carbon inorganic non-metallic materials modern industrial chain. Yan Xiaofeng, President of the China Building Materials Federation, and Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of CNBM, attended and delivered speeches. The event also featured keynote reports by Zhang Lianmeng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and scientist in functional gradient composite materials, and Peng Shou, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the National Innovation Center for Advanced Glass Materials.
Zhou Yuxian extended a warm welcome to the attendees and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the guidance and support extended to CNBM over the years. He emphasized that as a leading manufacturer of non-metallic materials and a capital investment company, CNBM shoulders the responsibility of being the "Chain Chief", exemplifying the commitment of a central enterprise. Zhou highlighted that the purpose of the Chain Collaboration Action is to address the new dynamics, tasks, and requirements both domestically and internationally by focusing on innovation as the critical variable and the overarching trend of low-carbon development. By pooling collective wisdom and consolidating strengths, the initiative aims to enhance the coordination of resources in technology, capital, markets, and products, thus fostering integrated growth and expediting the establishment of a modern, low-carbon industrial system for inorganic non-metallic materials. He reiterated CNBM’s commitment to serving as a pillar in the industry, acting as a leader in shaping industry development directions, a supporter of strengthening industrial foundations, and an organizer of industrial collaboration. Furthermore, he stressed CNBM’s role in driving integration and cooperation. Working alongside industry peers, CNBM will adhere to an open and cooperative philosophy, joining hands with partners across the industrial chain to “establish new mechanisms, build new foundations, share new achievements, create new ecosystems, and pursue new developments together.” Through these efforts, CNBM aims to create an open industrial ecosystem, striving to establish an innovation-oriented, green, low-carbon, open, collaborative, shared, and resilient industrial chain for inorganic non-metallic materials.
At the event, the Action Plan for the Low-Carbon Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials Modern Industrial Chain Collaboration Action was officially released. Cha Jinxiang, General Manager of the Strategic Development Department (International Cooperation Department) of CNBM, presented the plan, emphasizing a goal-oriented and problem-oriented approach. The plan focuses on leveraging the “core support and integrative driving” role to align and mobilize resources across the entire industrial chain. It highlights efforts to “achieve technological breakthroughs, build shared platforms, and establish promotion mechanisms.” The action plan outlines key tasks for building the industrial chain and aspires to deliver six major outcomes: breakthroughs in a series of critical technologies via innovation; promotion and application of a series of green and low-carbon products; accumulation of a series of high-value patent standards; development of a series of digital and intelligent sharing platforms; formulation of a series of integrated system solutions; and construction of a series of demonstration projects. The plan calls on all stakeholders in the industrial chain to work together to strengthen collaboration in technological innovation, promote green and low-carbon production practices, enhance management of green and low-carbon supply chains, actively participate in chain collaboration initiatives, and uphold industry self-discipline and foster cooperation.
In the presence of the China Building Materials Federation, China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd., China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd., Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd., Wuhan University of Technology, and 15 other joint construction units held the launch ceremony for the Low-Carbon Inorganic Non-Metallic Materials Modern Industrial Chain Collaboration Action. Additionally, China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd., China Minmetals Corporation, China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd., and 14 other organizations jointly held the founding ceremony for the Green Low-Carbon Building Materials Innovation Consortium.
